Written by John G. Roberts What I do not understand from the Liberals thinking is. Why would we want to keep expanding our government? Looking at history it proves Socialism always ends badly. We will all be wards of the State eventually. This administration is now wanting to add 6000 more employees to the I.R.S. Wouldn’t a flat tax make more sense? We could eliminate the I.R.S. completely and save billions. It would eliminate all of the complicated laws, eliminate tax cheats, no programs, no forms, less burden on small businesses and families etc.
In all sincerity, I just do not get why we keep selling our freedoms. We get the canned answers saying it is for the “common good.” Well common good eventually will lead to more freedoms stripped from us and we we basically be going backwards toward slavery. Government was to be a small government for basic necessities for societal purposes.
1. The practice of owning slaves.
2. A mode of production in which slaves constitute the principal work force.
3. The condition of being subject or addicted to a specified influence.
4. A condition of hard work and subjection: wage slavery.
5. The state of one bound in servitude as the property of a slaveholder or household.
Note #2 A mode of production in which slaves constitute the principal work force.
Isn’t that the direction we are headed? Sounds far fetched at first. 25 years ago I would have thought myself as a loon. Today it doesn’t seem so distant. There are growing numbers of African Americans that are raising awareness of this as well and are mad as hell, as we should all be. We were wrong as a nation when slavery existed and it is still wrong today.
Sounds extreme at first but look at the rate that the government is in our business and taking over businesses. In my opinion, things are speeding up toward socialism in an alarming pace.
We have a thing called “The projects” that was a government program to house the poor. Then they were abandoned by the government as well. Government housing is nothing more than slavery as well. Slave quarters!
We will be fine if everyone can take some personal responsibility, and not feel “owed” or “entitled”
There is no doubt that some socialist programs have to exist. Police, fire, Military, Medicare etc. But we need to make sure that “our” money is spent well within these programs and not taken advantage. Changing the entitlement mentality is the way, in my mind. “Relief” was meant to be a temporary thing, not a permanent way of life.
The the the the that’s all for me today folks
